I then installed 2- 7"headrest monitors(for my 4 and 5 year old girls) along with a video splitter beside the mono bloc amp under the passenger seat. I got 2 6" Alpine speakers and replaced the two bad ones in the rear hatch door. I removed the CDChanger from under the passenger seat and installed a mono-bloc amp, and added a 10" Pioneer compact sub in the rear cargo area. ![]() I went with a Pioneer AVH4000NEX DVD Head unit(which is a 2-din, 7" screen), 2 USB ports, SDCard, 2 Aux ports, back-up camera input and hdmi input.įYI-For this to work, you have to modify your center dash fascia to accept the 2-din size.Īfter overcoming the fitment obstacle, I had to research the wiring diagram of the factory harness, to correctly hook up to the head unit.(metra makes the harness adapter, PAC makes the steering wheel control module, makes the diversity antenna adapter) I got the pioneer harness and hooked the wires up to the harness adapter and steering wheel control module and it was good to go. I wanted an up to date sound system, that incorporated Bluetooth, Back up camera, and as many inputs as possible and it had to have audio/video input and output. ![]() ![]() Everything worked as designed, except my two subs in the rear hatch door had apparently been deteriorated for some time. I basically started out with the same setup you have.
